Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has revealed that he once accidentally set himself on fire while drinking absinthe during a wild night in the 1990s.

The incident occurred while he was partying with TV presenter Zoe Ball, whose flat at the time was located near Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher's house.

Recalling the event on Zoe's BBC Radio 2 show, Jamie, 49, said: "Do you remember I set myself on fire with some drink? What was it some drink? " Zoe replied, "I will never go near absinthe again."

The pair also reminisced about their time living near Noel Gallagher, with Zoe sharing stories of her ex-husband Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim) often disappearing to hang out with the Oasis star. She joked: "Those two would go disappearing together, I'm like 'Where's Norm?' He's in a field with Noel Gallagher'. I'm like, 'Oh not again."

Another memorable encounter involved Noel's brother Liam, who would often drink at a pub opposite Jamie's house and then ask for a late-night snack. amie recalled: "He did. He said, 'Give us a bacon sarnie' through the letterbox."

"I leant out and said, 'Dude' - Poppy and Daisy were just born. I said, 'The kids are trying to sleep please'. Liam has previously shared his version of events, which matches Jamie's recollection.

On 'The Jonathan Ross Show', he recounted how they used to tease: "On the way home, we'd be going, 'He's got some scran in there'."

He shared a glimpse into their mischief with "He'd come to his window and be going, 'Liam Stop f****** about, I'm getting the kids to bed', and we're going, 'Just chuck us down a couple of bacon sarnies.'". He added a twist to the tale mentioning "He's moved. The funny thing is he's moved to where I live now as well."
