Jake Paul will hold talks about his MMA debut immediately after his clash with .
YouTuber Paul will take on heavyweight boxing legend Tyson in Texas next month in their delayed and controversial eight-round contest. Paul has amassed a record of 10-1 in the ring with his only defeat coming against last year - and he will have a 30-year age advantage over Tyson when the pair collide on November 15.
But Paul also has his sights set on conquering the cage having signed with leading promotion PFL in 2022. And he could make his debut next year as he takes a break from his ambitious plan to become a boxing champion.
"I'm not sure if it's going to be his very next fight in combat sports but he will debut in 2025," PFL CEO Peter Murray told Mirror Fighting ahead of Francis Ngannou's return to MMA against Renan Ferreira. "Look what Jake has proved in ; he's an incredible athlete, he's a pro boxer and he's taken on some legit opponents and he has blazed his own trail. He's going to do it the same way in MMA; he's all about being an advocate for athletes and blazing new trails so he's absolutely going to take on MMA and be as focused and dedicated as he is to boxing."
Paul has long insisted he wants revenge on Fury who outpointed the YouTuber in Saudi Arabia. And the rematch could take place in the cage after Fury recently trained with star Tom Aspinall. And Murray added: "I believe [they could fight in PFL]; we'll see, there's a list and it keeps growing, that's what's exciting about it. There are a number of fighters who would like to be part of that debut so we will be talking to Jake after the Tyson fight."
Among the names linked with fighting Paul in MMA is UFC legend Nate Diaz whom Paul outpointed in their boxing fight last year. But a $10million offer has seemingly been ignored by Diaz who has been linked with a return to his former promotional home.
Paul could also have a trilogy fight with Tyron Woodley who was twice beaten by the social media star in the ring while Paul has long feuded with Jorge Masvidal, another fighter who has recently taken a break from the UFC.
Paul must first take on Tyson who has not fought professionally since he retired on his stool after five rounds against Kevin McBride in 2005. He did return to the ring against Roy Jones Jr in 2020 with the legends shuffling to a bore draw after eight rounds.
