Finding out your spouse has been cheating on you can turn your whole upside down.
For many of us, is the ultimate deal breaker. There are some who can forgive and forget their partner's infidelity, but the vast majority of us see it as the biggest form of betrayal which there is no coming back from. It breaks trust and makes people doubt their significant other, which ultimately leads to the breakdown of a .
There are many ways to find out that your partner has been cheating on you, from finding evidence in the bedroom or on their phone to them deciding to come clean. But one woman found out her of seven years was having an affair in the worst possible way - by walking in on him in the act.
The woman explained life had been "stressful" for herself and her husband - who have an eight-year-old son together - but believed they were "handling it as a team" until a few weeks ago when "everything fell apart" after she walked in on him having sex with their neighbour, who is also married.

In a post on , the mum said she and her neighbours - whom she gave the fake names Emily and Dave - got along well but weren't "super close", and she believed their relationship was just that of "neighbours being friendly". She first noticed things were "off" when her husband began getting "more secretive" with his phone, but brushed off her concerns as "paranoia" because she never thought her husband would "do something like that".
She said: "Then, one day, everything came crashing down. I had to come home early from work unexpectedly because our son's school had a half-day I forgot about. I walked in, and there, in our bedroom, I found my husband and Emily ... together. In our bed. I felt like the world stopped."
When the woman confronted her husband that night, he confessed to having an affair with Emily "for a few months". He begged for forgiveness and insisted it was a "stupid, impulsive thing", but the woman knew she "couldn't stay with someone" who would betray her trust in that way. But things took an even wilder turn when the woman decided to tell Emily's husband, Dave, what had happened. Despite the affair being their fault, they were both furious at the mum for sharing their secret, and Emily even accused the woman of "ruining her life".
The woman wrote: "Both my husband and Emily went ballistic when they found out I'd told Dave. My husband said I should have kept it between us and worked it out for the sake of our son. Emily called me all kinds of names, saying I had no right to tell her husband and that I ruined her life. She even claimed it wasn't 'serious' and that I blew everything out of proportion."
Now, Dave is considering divorcing his wife, and the woman has already filed for divorce from her husband. But she claims she's getting "a lot of flak" from mutual friends who claim it wasn't her job to tell Dave what she'd seen.
Commenters on the post, however, insisted she definitely did the right thing. One person said: "Emily wasn't going to ever tell her husband, and he had the right to know. It was very much your right to tell him, seeing as she was banging your husband."
And another wrote: "You did the right thing. I'm so sorry for your pain. Your husband and his affair partner need to own this. Including the anger. They are always sorry when they are caught."
