While he may act like a guilty man, Kit Green may not have killed Joel Deering as his real involvement in the solicitor's death was revealed this Monday.
viewers have been suspicious of Kit since he first joined the soap in May, 2024, when he was introduced . Scenes aired on Friday (November 1) then appeared to confirm his involvement in Joel's death as he was seen deleting crucial evidence that could link him to the sinister deed.
During this Monday's (November 4) trip to Weatherfield, the detective constable played by Jacob Roberts tried to impress Daisy Midgeley () once again, but she was quickly told Kit had been using information Ryan Connor shared during a friendly chat to get into her good books.
Unwilling to let it go, she then confronted Kit with the truth, branding his attitude "red flag behaviour." However, Kit was able to keep up appearances as he opened up about - after a flashback of him deleting a mysterious voice message, supposedly on was shown on screen.
In later scenes, Daisy and Kit wandered on the cobbles, with the detective holding on to his bicycle. But as he doubled up the charm, citing her favourite perfume, Daisy reminded him she wouldn't let flattery get the best of her cautious nature. Nonetheless, Kit sweet-talked her into believing he was "one of the good ones."

But as the episode drew to a close, viewers were given another flashback with Kit driving straight to Joel () on the evening of September 27, and upon his arrival, the pair of men were immediately going head to head.
And just as Kit set the tone by pinning Joel down on his car, the duty solicitor reminded him he knew all about the evidence he had , his former client. This was followed by Kit letting go of Joel and the heated exchange ended as Joel gloated about the power he held over the detective - but the solicitor was still very much alive.
Though he could have killed Joel to avoid facing a potential suspension or sack, Kit was not shown committing the sinister deed, making it likely another resident could have done it themselves later on.
Another scene aired this Monday has for DS Lisa Swain (). Lisa has recently vowed to take some time off from her job to spend more time with Betsy but when she was summoned to the Weatherfield police station, she was shocked to find out Kit dodn't intend to have a "friendly chat" with her as he maked it clear: "I need to ask you a few questions on record."
Kit then revealed that Lisa's mobile phone had been analysed and the search has highlighted a text message, composed but never sent, which was intended for Joel Deering. The message read: "Stay away from my daughter or I will be the end of you." However, Lisa and Kit, who have tried to bring Joel to justice for months, aren't the only ones who had a bone to pick with the villain.
