On Tuesday, Americans went to the polls to elect their next president - with with his success secured hours after polls closed. Supporters of outgoing Vice President Kamala and her Democratic party have been left devastated by the news - with among them.
The music sensation was a prominent supporter of Kamala - attending one of her pre-election rallies to speak to a crowd of supporters. The star has struggled to process the news of's landmark win - initially lashing out at his supporters in a expletive-filler outburst.
But now she has penned a note to Kamala to tell her how proud she is of her attempt to win the White House. Taking toon Wednesday, the singer shared an impassioned message to the failed Presidential hopeful.
Cardi wrote: "To Vice President Kamala, no matter what the’ve said to bring you down or belittle your run for presidency they can never say you didn’t run your race with honesty and with integrity! You really put up a fight against all the odds that were already stacked against you! You never accepted defeat as an option which says so much about your strength and about your heart. You really wanted better for ALL of us!"

She continued: "This may not mean much but I am so proud of you! No one has ever made me change my mind and you did! I never thought I would see the day that a woman of color would be running for the President of the United States, but you have shown me, showed my daughters and women across the country that anything is possible. Thank you for being an example, thank you for being empowered, thank you for being a real example of what the American dream should be!"
Earlier, Cardi sparked surprise among some of her fans when she went on a sweary tirade against Trump supporters. One appeared to mockingly message her after the election result came clear to write: "Cardi we need you at the Trump inauguration." Responding to the message, the I Like It singer raged: "I swear to god I'm gonna f**k you up, get away from me! I'm sick of you! Burn you're f**king hats motherf****r. I'm really sad. I swear to god I'm really sad."
She also talked about her love for VP Harris, saying: "No matter what, I know that she's probably emotional right now. I know there's probably a lot going on in her mind and I know she's not listening to this, but she will eventually see it. I just hope she knows no matter what happens tonight, millions of people are proud of her. Women around the are proud of her. Women of colour are proud of her."
