Strictly Come Dancing's Chris McCausland had a hilarious response as his joke backfired during Saturday's live show.
During the latest episode, which was icons themed in a One show first, the remaining 10 celebrities and their professional dance partners performed a routine accompanied by a track from a legendary singer.
Chris, 47, who is the first ever blind contestant on the show, and pro partner Dianne Buswell, 35, paid homage to KISS on Saturday night as they performed a Tango to Rock and Roll All Nite.
After the routine, which scored the comedian 29 points, host Tess Daly said: "Listen to that applause Chris, I think Dave Arch enjoyed playing that as much as you enjoyed dancing it!"
This prompted Chris to joke: "Well you know, dancing a Tango on BBC, I can only imagine someone's got to dance a Fanta now just to balance it out!" However, the joke appeared to backfire as it didn't get a big response.
Ever the comedian, Chris hilariously responded: "Yeah, that was funnier in my head, shame this isn't pre-recorded innit?"
Taking to , now X, one person said: "Don't worry, I enjoyed your Tango/Fanta gag, Chris! #Strictly", a different account wrote: "Chris’s Fanta joke flopping #StrictlyComeDancing #strictly" with crying emojis while another added: "'That was funnier in my head' Chris I love you so much #strictly #StrictlyComeDancing."
Continuing the celebration of musical icons, the professional dancers will perform a medley with Johannes Radebe channelling the singer's alter-ego, Sasha Fierce, during Sunday’s results show.
It comes as Dr Punam Krishan became the fifth celebrity to be voted off during Sunday's results show.
Despite leaving the BBC show on Halloween week, the Morning Live resident is also a GP in , said she was "proud" of herself for stepping out of her "comfort zone".
Meanwhile, professional dancer Lauren Oakley, who currently does not have a celebrity pairing on this year's series of the One dance competition, stepped in to dance with JLS star JB Gill after his partner Amy Dowden fell ill during filming last weekend.
Amy, 34, is said to be "doing much better" after a health scare forced her to miss Sunday's results programme after being taken to hospital and she has skipped this week of the competition. On Saturday night, Amy was in the studio supporting both JB and Lauren.
Strictly Come Dancing continues this Saturday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
